Coaching Philosophy
More than thirty years of coaching has led Tom to hold three strong beliefs about coaching. First, corporate coaching has the potential to help leaders develop behaviors that can balance existing strengths. Second, coaching cannot change anyone’s basic character or personality. Third, leadership coaching will not be transformative unless clear, measurable goals are established and agreed on. During his work with clients, one of Tom’s joys is discovering each person’s learning style and tailoring his style to optimize the coaching.
